There is a greater need for companies to reach out to customers quickly with freshest product and with least amount of cost. This need is fulfilled by the operations and supply chain function. This particular specialization prepares the management graduates to take on challenges in supply chain design, logistics and supply chain management
Post Graduate Diploma in Management (AICTE Approved PGDM Course)
The two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) – 2nd Shift (PGDM) is an AICTE approved PGDM Autonomous course. The PGDM course has been designed considering the Industry requirements and gives the students a head start in the chosen functional area. Special Topics in the PGDM Syllabus include the latest updates and developments to make the student industry-ready. The PGDM specialization is taken up in the second semester to focus the studies on the functional area of the student.
It has always been the Endeavour of the group to provide a stimulating environment and offer more than classroom lectures. The Career & Leadership Development Program incorporates a weekly interaction with senior members of the industry and experts from various fields who share their experiences with the students. This will not only expose students to the practical reality but also lead to a better understanding of the theory being taught and its applications.
At Indira Institute of Management Pune (IIMP) – PGDM students eagerly await their structured overseas visit. This is termed as our International Campus Enrichment (ICE) program. The PGDM batch of 2018-20 visited UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah) Earlier batches have visited either Singapore or UAE. These overseas visits are organized so students to get not only international academic exposure but also understand historical, cultural, social, political, geographical, and importantly…economic aspects of these regions vis-à-vis world trade.
Culture brings great understanding; PGDM students thus enjoyed a lot at the Singapore World-renowned tourist centers like- Sentosa, Merlion, Singapore Flyer, Orchid Street, Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo and many more places. In UAE, our students visited monuments like Burj Khalifa, Mall of Dubai, Masdar City, Sports City, Desert Safari, and numerous other attractions.
Our PGDM course fees also include a laptop/tablet that is given to our students. This, coupled with our Wi-Fi campuses, gives our students the edge over other students when entering into the corporate world. IIMP students participate in various inter-collegiate fests and management games. This specialization is designed to give students the ability to better understand the domain of marketing and how it earns revenue for the organization. As part of this specialization, students get to learn the tools to evaluate existing and potential market opportunities and to develop marketing strategies that achieve desired marketing objectives. Students will develop understanding of how marketing has changed due the evolution of technology and internet in particular.
One should opt for Marketing specialization if she/he loves the challenge of designing and implementing marketing concepts and strategies to promote the offerings of a business to the right target audience, at the right time. It’s the ideal program for someone who loves challenges, loves meeting new people, and is a great team player and skilled project manager, with excellent analytic and presentation skills.
Finance Management
Finance management is the domain of money and numbers. It is specifically designed to give students the ability to better evaluate financial health of an organization, financial prowess of its management. Students also develop the understanding of strategies to achieve various financial objectives, and how to protect the organization from financial risk. This specialization allows you to gain real-world insights through access to academic and industry experts. The course curriculum involves content based on current research and relevant case studies and learning from application of financial tools.
You should study MBA in Finance if you are comfortable in number crunching, want to be a genuine problem solver and gain on analytical & critical thinking. It’s an ideal specialization for someone who wants to enhance knowledge in finance, its management, and wants to handle and manage the bottom line of organizations.
Human Resource Management
HRM is one of the most in demand specialization these days - the reason being that every field in the domain of business needs skilled Human Resources professionals to manage the work force. With rapid evolution in the economy, the roles of HR personnel have undergone tremendous changes. Keeping this in mind, the HRM specialization has been designed to expose the management graduates to the world of human resource management and equip them with critical tasks related to HR. Some of the most talked about skills in HR are staffing, organization development, Organizational goals alignment, compensation, dealing with grey, Conflict management and problem solving, Negotiation, change management etc. HRM specialization is designed to prepare students for a career in HR area.
Operations & Supply Chain Management

Data in its raw form is of no use until it is analyzed and interpreted to uncover valuable insights. This is precisely where Business Analytics comes in

Graduation Eligibility criteria – A candidate is considered eligible for the PGDM course if he/she has cleared the bachelor degree examination from any recognized Indian university with a minimum of 50% marks (for General category) and a minimum of 45% marks (for Reserved Category) having Indian nationality.
Reserved Category Candidate – Is required to submit relevant caste certificates and non- creamy layer certificates at the time of confirming the PGDM admission. If a candidate fails to produce such documents at the time of submitting the application form, he/she will be not be considered for PGDM admission under the reserved category. He/she will be regarded as for PGDM admission under open/general category (with minimum 50% marks requirement in graduation).
Students appearing / result awaited For final year examination can apply for the Indira Common Admission Process (ICAP). However, such candidates need to submit their final graduation mark sheet, college/university certificate at the time of PGDM admission else their candidature will be disqualified. It will not be admitted to the PGDM course.
Competitive exam: A candidate can apply to the PGDM course if he/she has cleared or appearing for following competitive exam as per AICTE requirement – CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/ G-MAT/ MAH-CET. The candidate is required to produce a score of the same at the time of PGDM admission. They are failing to provide the scorecard of the competitive exam at the time of PGDM admission, the college reserves right to reject the application of the candidate and shall not admit the student to the PGDM course.
Shortlisting of candidates for PGDM course admission shall be done according to Indira Common Admission Process (ICAP) 2021-22

Indira Institute of Management, Pune (IIMP)
Indira Group of Institutes (IGI) journey started way back in 1994 with a humble beginning of one institute & four classrooms. Today, with the charismatic leadership of Dr. Tarita Shankar – Chairperson, coupled with the dynamism and relentless efforts of Prof. Chetan Wakalkar – Group Director, IGI has acquired the status of one of the most preferred educational institutes in Pune. In the year 1994, under of Shree Chanakya Education Society (SCES) Indira Institute of Management, Pune (IIMP) was established. IIMP is the flagship institute of IGI offering Master of Business Administration (autonomous) programme of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), an AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management PGDM programme. IIMP is ranked 31st in Best B-School Survey in India by Business India 2019.
IIMP PGDM course emphasizes immersive learning and students are given industry exposure both in India and abroad to understand the dynamic business atmosphere and equip themselves with knowledge, skills and attitude required in the journey of self and organizational mission accomplishment. The progressive team at IIMP PGDM uses extensive teaching tools and techniques like simulations, online trainings, certifications, research projects, industrial training, industry interface, placement preparedness activities, guest lectures, faculty-student collaborative learning projects, presentations, case studies, live projects and field assignments, additional inputs like Outdoor Management Training (OMT) programs, Career and Leadership Development Programs (CLDP) and other personality enhancement programs for the holistic learning experience.
IIMP offers AICTE approved two years PGDM Program in the second shift having an intake of 120 students per year. The two years are split into four semesters, including the Summer Internship Program of two months. Students seeking PGDM in Marketing Management and PGDM in Financial Management will find the right mix of the syllabus at IIMP PGDM.
In the age of globalization, to enhance the outlook of future managers in the global context, IIMP undertakes a structured overseas visit for the PGDM course students, aptly called the International Campus Enrichment (ICE) Program. The foreign tour gives students international academic exposure in terms of historical, cultural, social, political, geographical and, importantly, the economic aspects of different countries vis-à-vis world trade. The earlier batches have been to Singapore, UAE (Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai).
To facilitate learning in a global context, IIMP has got a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus, and each student is given a laptop to leverage the goodness of technology-based learning inside and outside the classrooms. This helps the students not only to prepare for the classroom sessions but also helps in doing assignments. The importance is given to immersive learning practices that help students take profound knowledge of new contexts and frameworks of managerial and entrepreneurial learning. Students acquire prospects to understand tactics in which industries are being disrupted, understand and analyze strategies that lead to organizational change.
Indira Group of Institutes has a centralized placement cell headed by an Executive Director – Corporate Relations. The placement cell aligns the competency of students with the career options available to them with the industry with enabling a smooth transition into the real world. The institute aims to assist students for summer internships and final placements by the arrangement of campus interviews for students getting placed in MNCs, public and private sector organizations in India and outside India.
Placement Enhancement PGDM Program:
This PGDM program has been designed to enable students of the PGDM course, be placement ready specifically. PEP focuses on learning and development through student engagement and collaborative efforts of the faculty mentors.

Faculty – Students Collaborative Learning (FSCL) :
The AICTE approved PGDM Program Focuses on developing research understanding in students. Faculties are assigned to each student as a mentor, and under the guidance of a mentor, a short term research project is carried out. Under FSCL, students carry activities such as company analysis, financial analysis, market research and SWOT analysis.
Deep Dives:
The Deep Dive is a sector-specific input given to the students as a part of Placement Preparedness by the Ozone Mentors. Guidance is given to students pursuing PGDM in Marketing Management and PGDM in Financial Management. Inputs on various sectors like Banking, IT & ITES, Consultancy, Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing etc. are imparted to the students.
Ozone:
Ozone is a three Semester Skill Development Programme designed to enhance PGDM student’s confidence, Interview Skills, GD Skills. It comprises various modules and sessions like Emotional Intelligence Test, Discovery Interviews etc.
A team of Ozone mentors helps the students to explore and understand their interests, abilities, and aptitude and world values.
Use of Information Technology:
IIMP PGDM students are exposed to an online learning platform with well-equipped IT labs. Personal Laptops are provided to all students by the institute. The PGDM classrooms are all well equipped with technology and Digital Boards. Video recording of the sessions by the faculties are available for the students to help with notes & revision. Institute also uses ERP software for all academic purposes such as attendance, study material sharing, internal evaluation, conducting quizzes, etc.
Mentorship programme:
INDIRA firmly believes in moulding the upcoming Managers by personalized guidance in their development. For this, a Mentoring program is run to counsel them on the key areas that they should focus on to become successful leaders.
Language Proficiency: English, German/French:
English is the business language, is given attention in terms of reading and writing. Classes are conducted for students who have a desire to communicate effectively in the English language.

Induction:
At IIMP PGDM, a six day-long unique induction programme is conducted for the newly admitted students to familiarize them with the organization, PGDM course, faculties and their fellow mates. They also get an opportunity to learn various management and inter-personal skills during the programme from industry stalwarts and trainers.
The induction programme is followed by a bridge course to bring students from different academic backgrounds to a common platform.
